Abwasserkanäle in den Philipinen

In Mandaue City in Cebu müssen diverse Abwasserkanäle geräumt und saniert werden. Die engen und sumpfigen Gassen sind für den Menzi Muck A61 geradezu geschaffen.

Damming and diverting

In order for repairs to be carried out (in this example following the storms in Switzerland in August 2005), rivers and streams have to be diverted and dammed temporarily. Reliable means have to be used to withstand the force of the water.

Canal restoration in the USA

The 4x4 Plus is ideal in particular for the marshlands in Florida, USA. Thanks to its four huge wheels, it is able to move effortlessly on even the softest of ground. Waterways of this type often have to be dredged in order to prevent blockages and subsequent floods.

Bank reinforcement

The bank is reinforced from a standing position in the water. Rocks are used to create a barrier. This prevents the continuous erosion and washing away of the soil.

Ship-based applications

The bank site can only be accessed from the water. Stones transported on-board are unloaded at the site. Having been unloaded, the Menzi Muck is used to position the boulders.

Stream bed maintenance

To prevent damage caused by erosion in large bodies of water, the stream bed can be reinforced and lined with boulders. Maximum lifting torques ensure efficient working.

Dredgers

On caissons, the Menzi Muck can be turned economically into a dredger capable of reaching excavation depths of up to 5 metres. Dredging and levelling out can both calm the flow of the water and ensure the necessary depths for ships to pass through. The range of possible applications even includes shoreline and bank maintenance.

Dam maintenance

The roots of bushes, shrubs and trees damage dams. If dams are left to become overgrown, branches will shoot up in the water; this can lead to blockages when water levels are high. Used in conjunction with a thinning attachment (felling-collecting equipment or hedge shears), the Menzi Muck is an effective system able to eliminate risk manual work.

Canal maintenance

Increasing importance is being accorded to the maintenance of canal systems in order to prevent floods. The Menzi Muck A91 4x4 Plus (all-wheel drive with four huge wheels) is ideal for dredging canals and cutting back banks; it can be positioned exactly as required.

Drainage work on slopes

Draining channels on slopes prevent landslides. Adapted to the terrain, the Menzi Muck impresses by combining high excavation output with stability. The driver is able to sit comfortably (horizontal) and without risk of fatigue.

Renaturation

Ever more frequently, streams that were once canalised are being restored to their original state in order to create new natural habitats. In such applications, the Menzi Muck is ready, willing and able to tackle inaccessible locations, obstacles and soft ground.
