Track building Applications

A whole variety of solutions have been applied for the use of the Menzi Muck on railway tracks. The legal regulations and requirements to be observed vary from country to country.

The advantages of the Menzi Muck: small structure gauge, low tare weight, automatic rerailing and derailing on open track, work on and alongside the rail possible, low excavator centre of gravity, low transportation costs and improved price/performance ratio.

3-Way-Excavator with variable track width

The Menzi Muck track excavator A91 4x4 plus has an own hydrostatic rail wheel drive. It is equipped with a four wheel brake, which offers a maximum of security by two independent systems of front and rear axle. When working on the track the stabilizers are spread and placed beside the track, whereby an extraordinary stability is reached. In only 15 minutes the mobile allterrain excavator can be converted into a track machine. For this no further works are needed. The change is even in difficult area possible. The adjustment of the track width is simply and fast done.

Strength of the Menzi Muck

Unusual cross-country capability by walking and driving function.
Small weight: only minimum field damage apart from the clearing race.
Place and replace of the machine on open rail in shortest time possible: no traffic blockages.
Place and replace of the machine also in difficult terrain possible, even at steep railway embankments.
The track machine is profile-free: swivelling and working is possible also at oncoming traffic.
Deep emphasis and its enormous stabilizer width make an optimal working possible.
Low working costs by small transportation height.
