Forestry Applications

On steep slopes
The Menzi Muck harvester has plugged the gap in mechanical processes for thinning on slopes with gradients of 40% and more. Thanks to the walker function, gradients of 100% can even be tackled. The assortment method is the most effective on slopes.
Ideal position for setting up
When it comes to trimming and cutting using the full-tree method, the Menzi Muck will always provide the perfect fit when setting up, even when space is at a premium. The chassis can be adapted to any type of ground. The driver can jack up the machine to gain the best possible view of the situation in which work is to be carried out. Eye heights of up to 3 metres are possible.
Wind blast
Another application where the versatile Menzi Muck harvester comes into its own is when clearing up bent trees and stumps after windy weather. Yet again, the chassis and its ability to climb proves vital when negotiating obstacles. Even streams and mountain brooks pose no difficulties for the Menzi Muck.
Lifting and loading

When used in conjunction with the Woody, the Menzi Muck can provide an effective solution for lifting and loading wood. The foldaway feed unit turns the harvester head into an efficient wood grab with an aperture of up to 95 cm.
Non-destructive thinning and forest management
In selective forestation, despite its material weight of 12.5 tons, the Menzi Muck harvester is able to tiptoe along the forest floor, thereby eliminating the risk of damage. Thanks to its versatility, it is able to negotiate effortlessly around the surrounding greenery without risk of damage. Steep terrain can even be negotiated horizontal to the slope.
Storm-damaged timber
The Menzi Muck is able to eliminate the very high risks inherent in working manually with storm-damaged timber. Mechanisation both makes the process safe and significantly reduces costs.
Universality of use
Aside from its merits on difficult terrain, the Menzi Muck harvester is of course also an efficient solution for use on simple flat terrain.

Cost-effective transportation
The wheelbase can be adjusted to a minimum of 2250 mm. A minimum height of 2750 mm and a material weight of 12.5 tons make possible a variety of options without having to resort to expensive special transportation methods.
