Programme of events

Day 1

Welcome meeting for participants in Menzi Muck AG's auditorium, followed by a brief introduction to the company and a film about the possible applications in which its products can be used. Participants are fitted for overalls before moving to the demonstration site. Interplay between boom + shaft (Muck jacked on wheel side and feet side). Moving forwards and backwards; machine maintenance and lubrication.

Day 2

Moving forwards and backwards in circles (3-way movement). Sideways movement of excavator. Digging with the telescopic attachment. Bulldozing exercise (interplay between boom, shaft, telescope and shovel)

Day 3

Overcoming obstacles. Treading carefully with walking excavators and mobile walking excavators. Vertical ascent and descent of slopes.

Day 4

Horizontal ascent and descent of slopes; negotiation of slopes where space is at a premium

Day 5

Exercises on steep precipices; Lorry loading; site inspection.

The programme of events can be adapted in accordance with the progress made by participants.
